Kim Sandberg has listed and/or sold close to 100 properties in active adult/55-plus communities throughout northeast Florida. She understands what the market has to offer in and around Jacksonville. And she’s learned quite a bit about the things that tend to be most important to buyers and sellers in active adult communities. But she wanted to expand her knowledge and skill set even more to better serve those home buyers and sellers who are 50 years old or more. So she completed the necessary coursework to become a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®).
The SRES® designation complements Kim’s on-the-job experience, allowing her to delve deeper into important issues that impact older adults, including:
- Financing options, from reverse mortgages to the best ways to leverage pensions, IRAs, 401(k)s and other savings
- Choosing the right property type, from 55-plus communities to assisted living options and more
- Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, and how those programs can impact housing decisions
