Builder incentives can offer a safe haven from uncertainty around mortgage rates & pricing in general.
We live in interesting times. Especially if you’re in the market for a new home. On the upside, we’ve swung from a severe lack of inventory to a much more balanced market. But pricing has, for most part, remained high, as seller’s seek to get the most from their investments. And uncertainty around mortgage rates makes getting the home you want even more challenging.
Builders, however, have the financial wherewithal to provide some very attractive incentives to today’s home buyers. After all, builders want to get inventory off their balance sheets, so they may be willing to make some concessions that sellers of existing homes just can’t match.
Some of the incentives builders might offer include:
- Deep reductions in pricing
- Affordable mortgage rate buy downs
- Flex cash to spend at the design center
- Other options on a case by case basis

David Weekley Homes
