Yes, we do it a little differently down here in Ponte Vedra
For most of my life, the holiday season has been measured in wind chill and snowfall amounts. To be sure, holidays in the Midwest and New England, where I’m from, have quite a different vibe than holidays in Ponte Vedra, Florida.
But after eight years, I’m really getting used to trimming the tree in shorts and walking on the beach after opening gifts. I like the look of palm trees decked out in Christmas lights. And we’ve even got a few unique, local holiday traditions, like the annual Ponte Vedra Boat Parade, that are starting to grow on me.
And, because I am a Realtor, after all, and because you may want to own a home on the Intracoastal Waterway one day, where the Ponte Vedra Boat Parade takes place, here’s a link to come current listings.
A Warm Holiday Wish for Brighter Things to Come
On a more serious note, recent events in New England have really shone a light on all we have to be thankful for here in Florida. Our hearts go out to all those impacted by Hurricane Sandy, and especially the families in Newtown, CT. For them, and for all of us, our warmest holiday wishes for health, happiness and brighter things to come…
