It’s no secret that Nocatee is big. The nation’s 3rd best-selling master-planned community sprawls across 24 square miles, and has 20 individual neighborhoods currently underway or already built out. With plans for approximately 13,000 homes at completion, and new retail, commercial and recreational developments coming online, it’s no wonder transportation is a priority in the community.
Already, Nocatee has set aside significant acreage for green space, parks and trails. And by the summer of 2016, the next major expansion to the existing Greenway Trails system should be complete.
The planned expansion will provide greater connection between the north and south sides of the development via a network of trails and roadways approved for electric vehicles (golf carts, etc.). In addition, a tunnel beneath the 4 lanes of Nocatee Parkway will make it much easier for residents in communities like Kelly Pointe, Brookwood, Cypress Trails, The Villas and The Palms to get to retail shops and amenities at the Nocatee Town Center.
