Mandatory Watering Restrictions are in Effect
With Daylight Saving Time in effect, the days that you can water your lawn here in northeast Florida have changed:
Homes with Even Numbered Addresses: Water on Thursdays and Sundays
Homes with Odd Numbered Addresses or no address: Water on Wednesdays and Saturdays
When it comes to water conservation, many people think of western states such as Arizona, California and Nevada. But water conservation is a big issue nationwide, and it will only become more important in the future.
Here in northeast Florida, the St. Johns River Water Management District is responsible for managing groundwater and surface water resources. You can visit their website for information on mandatory watering restrictions, potential penalties for violations and some exceptions to the rules.
